Dear people of Haiti,

My name is Bobb Q Rousseau and I am happy to stand before you today to inform you that your inaction and your lack of interests in the affairs of Haiti is beyond pathetic and transpires nothing but a despicable behavior, leading to a disgraceful debacle in our environment, our politic, our society, and our economy.

We have talked the talk so many times but not once we have taken the initiative to walk the walk. As the intelligent Winston Churchill said “The era of procrastination, of half-measures, of soothing and baffling expedients, of delays must come to an end.” I am telling you that we need to enter the scene to produce positive consequences for this generation and many other generations to come.

Looking at the way Haiti has been crawling for the past 20 years and the direction it took since January 12, 2010, I say unto you that “we must come together to play our partition in order to steer a real paradigm driven by a phase of consequences” through which we will take control of our destiny instead of the destiny that has been imposed to us since the day of our Independence.

Dear people of Haiti, it is time to take responsibilities for our actions as well as taking the blame for others’ actions because for too long we have been dodging our responsibilities. Let me tell you with all my honesty meshed with my peaking love for Haiti that “It is easy to dodge our responsibilities, but we cannot dodge the consequences of dodging our responsibilities.”

We have failed to come to grips with the real situation. I am telling you today that we are both the problem and the solution. The degradation and perhaps the isolation of Haiti, since our founders could remember, is our fathers’ faults and we inherit these faults from them because we have been displaying an reckless “attitude” and today we are barking up the wrong tree.

Today requires no procrastination, no don’t care attitude, and that will necessitate that we spray our Haitian love more often through tangible actions instead of repeatdly saying it through the power of social medias. We need a rethinking of our sense of pride, our patriotism, our nationalism, and our haitianism.

I hope that this message helps you reassess your needs and resort your priorities so you can take substantial steps to reshape the future of Haiti, my Haiti, your Haiti, and our Haiti. Let’s, shoulder to shoulder, marshal toward reclaiming our seats at the concert of great nations. Our actions are long overdue.
